I've began to design the magazine and changed the desighn on the three page spread. I got the idea from the hiphop connections magazine where they have layed out the pictures in colums and there is tree colums underneath it with the actual article.

plan for photos

This is a littile format of the several piks that i will need to take befor i have taken them. I am going to take much more than i have decided to take just to have a better chance of getting better pictures

This is the layout of my featured article. At the moment ive decided to use only 2 pages but might chage that later on. To begin with i am goin to use the first page as he main page for the images and put an enlarged picture of the whole group with the back ground of the buildings with a miniture caption at the bottom to illustarte the piks in a bit more detail

this is the overal graph that ive come out with using my questionaires. It gives me now an overal view of how mi magazine should look at how the common readers of my magazine would like my magazine to come out looking

In last weeks lesson i had to analyse the music magazine that was in relation to the one i had finaly chosen to do in my course work. This picture is just one of the pages i had to analyse and it includes alot of cohesive houstyle.

I am currently writing analysis of the source magazine, examinig its features and why these features where used and this has to be presented in a factual format

My contents page that i was able to do in indesighn came out ok after alot of change with the content and couple of the back ground so i keep to my original choice of having gradient colour in the background and then feature some pictures that follow that up

I eventuall was able to finally use indesignto good use and crat my contents page that also contained the use of gradient but this time it worked perferclt with the images that i features in it. I decided to put a lear direct logo with some advice from Tina in sense because it seemed to be to many spare space around the writting and the pictures

Indie design

The fact that i had to re do my front cover in indesign and not photoshop never really pleased me because when i was working in photoshop i was able to use gradient very well and creat a very good front cover that everyone agreed was very good considering it was the first go but because i got the had of photoshop too early and never really focused on indi design i ended up making a front cover from photoshop that is compleatly better than the one in indi design and when i tried to do the exact same thing i did in photshop that i did in photoshop it never really came out how i planed

changes

We had a couple of complications at this stage and that was to do with the font and colour of the font. To begin with we had to use specific colour and a certain font but because of the use of gradient on my background colour it was not really looking acceptable to use it because there would be too much of a mixture of colour and that would make it seem like if it was supposed to be a circus magazine which is not what i wanted so we agreed with Tina that i can use another colour that co-ordinates with the colours i was playing around with before

Technical problem

In todays lesson i established the fact that my pictures which i took where too low resolute and they are they look nice and view able on that websight but when you reach to putting them on photo shot you then realise that they are too resolute and i need now to go away and take new pictures or if i'm lucky be able o identify a picture i;m able to use from several wesights like facebook and myspace.

In todays lesson we where priviladged to have the Orpington prospectus makers come and give us a couple of pointers towards the way we should try to lay out our magazine covers.Heres a couple of thye pointers.
1.Iconic fonts which is basicly the font that we should try to use to make our magazin clear and eyr catching.
2.Make use of space-this is crucial ecspecially for the out look on it because peaple who tend to see a whole bunch of text together dont tend ti want to read it and it will also help you atract the target audience your trying to inspire.
3.Gender balance-which reflects back on the target audince.
4.Disability discrimination-this is very important because you dont want to seem biased and you are tryin to atract everyone to an extent.
5.Close up shots/medium close ups-this will enable us to get a good visual look at the images.
6.Colours must compliment-

1.Signifier-The form the sign takes. In this example it is a photographic image of football team celebrating

2.Signified-This will be the meaning of the sign.We can break this down in to Donitation and Connotation.
Denotaion-The common sense,culturaly agreed meaning of this sign is celebration of passionate football team.
Connotation-My individual interpretation of this sign leads me to think of champions at there best

2.Signified-This will be the meaning of the sign.We can break this down in to Donitation and Connotation.

Connotation-My individual interpretation of this sign leads me to think of fast.
